What we hold about you, why we hold it, and how to ask us to change or remove it.
The short version
We take your name and mobile number so we can hold your appointment and recognise you when you come back. We keep a record of what we did to your hair so your next visit starts from what worked last time. We do not sell your details, we do not share them for anyone's marketing, and everything is stored in Singapore.
What we collect, and why
This is the full list. If something is not here, we do not collect it.
- Your name
- To greet you, and to find your booking at the front desk.
- Your mobile number
- To confirm your appointment, and to recognise you as the same person on your next visit rather than starting again.
- Your email addressOptional
- Only if you give it. Nothing is sent to it today. It is there for the day we offer confirmations by email.
- Your date of birthOptional
- Only if you give it, and only so we can mark your birthday. Nothing depends on it and you can leave it blank.
- Your appointments
- What you booked, when, with whom, and what you paid. This is the salon's business record and it is also your history with us.
- Notes your stylist writes
- The colour formula used, anything your hair or scalp reacts to, and how you like it finished. This is what lets a different stylist give you the same result.
What we never collect
- Your NRIC or FIN. Not as an identifier, not as a note, not in any form.
- Your home address. We do not deliver.
- Your card details. When we accept cards, the payment is handled by our payment provider and the card number never reaches us.
- Photographs of you. Any picture used in our portfolio is asked for separately and is never attached to your record.
Who can see it
Only the people working in the studio, after they have signed in to their own account. Your stylist and the front desk can see your record so they can look after you. Writing a note takes a stylist's or a director's account; an account set up only to view the business cannot change anything.
If you check your own appointments on this site, we show you only the service, the time, the status and your reference. That page never shows a name, a number, or anything a stylist has written.
How long we keep it
Your record and your stylist's notes are kept while you are still a guest of the studio. After 36 months with no visit, your record becomes due for anonymising.
Appointments and payments are kept for 7 years, because Singapore law requires a business to keep its financial records for that long.
We do this by hand today. There is no automatic clear-out running in the background, and we would rather say so than imply one.
Who we share it with
Nobody, for marketing. We do not sell your details, we do not rent them, and we do not pass them to anyone who wants to advertise to you.
The only companies that touch your details are the ones that run the studio's own systems for us: the company that hosts our database, and our payment provider when you pay by card. They act on our instructions and they may not use your details for anything else.
Where it is stored
In Singapore. The database that holds your record sits in a Singapore data centre and stays there.
Counting visits
We count how many people reach each page and how many go on to book, so we can tell whether our advertising is working. That is all it is: totals.
There are no cookies, and nothing is stored on your device. We do not give you an identifier, so we cannot tell whether two visits came from the same person, and we do not follow you to any other website.
The counts go to our own database in Singapore and to nobody else. No analytics company, no advertising network, and no third party of any kind receives anything about your visit.
A count records one of six things: that a page was opened, that a booking was started or finished, or that one of the two buttons on our offer was pressed. If you finish a booking it also records which service and which hair length. It cannot record your name or your number, because there is nowhere in it to put them.
Asking to see, correct, or remove your details
You can ask us at any time for a copy of what we hold about you, to correct anything that is wrong, or to remove you from our records. Tell us at the studio, or write to us using the details below. We will come back to you within thirty days.
One thing we cannot delete
If you have paid us for a service, we have to keep the record of that sale for as long as the law requires, the same as any other business. So when you ask to be removed, we delete your notes and overwrite your name, number, email and date of birth with something that cannot be traced back to you. What is left is a record that a service happened and was paid for, with nothing in it that says who you were.
